Remembering Stevens Courts
Texarkana, Texas
1941 - 2010

I remember:
1. Playing on the swings, monkey bars and slide.
2. Roller-skating on the circular concrete water fountain.
3. Playing rise and shine Ping Pong outside of Office.
4. Playing Peewee baseball, softball and pickup football games.
5. Sam Harvey calling balls and strikes and Bo Jones calling third base.
6. Morris Neighbor pulling me from the game because of too many errors.
7. Playing Bid whist in front of the Spratt’s unit.
8. Pitching pennies.
9. Watching a movie outdoors on the Tennis Court by the Office.
10. Roasting wieners and eating Chili Mac on the Tennis Court.
11. Swiping a watermelon from the watermelon truck.
12. Singing Doo Wops on a summer night with friends.
13. The “Big boys” giving me a bottle top of F. I. wine. (yum - yum)
14. Socials in the Office. (Oh what a night).
Mostly, I remember the friendship, support, encouragement and love that
I received from Stevens Courts.
